We have a pbs (let's call ist pbs1) and want to add a tape drive backup. Unfortunately the location of the pbs1 is not really good reachable to change the tapes. Therefore we'd like to build an additional small pbs-"server" with a tape drive and NO local datastore (pbs2). Best would be to "mount" the datastore from pbs1 to pbs2 and make the tape backup from this mount on pbs2.
Does this work or are there other existing solutions for that?

Thank you and best,
Johannes

If the datastore would be an NFS-share on a storage server: Would it be possible to mount this nfs share on the pbs1 writeable and on the pbs2 only readable for the tape-backup?
