Backup of snapshots

Hello.
So we made it into production, and one thing i did not test was this:
Using ceph, made a snapshot a week ago. this made a new disk: "vm-101-state-snapshot"

"snapshots found (not included into backup)"

Ok, so this mean the changes after the snapshot, is not included in the snapshot?
OR
Does this mean if i restore, i lose the ability to restore the snapshot, but get all data up-to the backup moment?

If i remove the snapshot, is the new state-disk integrated into the main disk image?
