Hi all.
I have a cluster made by 3 Proxmox 6.x servers, 2 of which are connected via FC to an array of disks.
I also have two extra machines which are not in the cluster and which I use for putting backup of VMs via NFS based storage.
One of my VM is an OpenMediaVault (latest version ie 4.1.23).
I setup its virtual hardware this way:
Memory 4.== GiB (no balloon)
CPU: 4 (2 cores, 2 sockets)
BIOS: default
Display: default
Machine: default
SCSI controller VirtIO SCSI
HD: 2 (SCSI) 16GB (system) and 160 GB (data)
Network card: VirtIO
What I notice about this VM was:
1. If I try to stop it by the GUI it works, ie it stops.
2. If I try to shutdown it by the GUI it doesn't works, ie it stays alive.
If I try to create a backup of this machine on one of the 2 "external" NFS Backup server, I can set a Backup in a snapshot or suspend mode, while if I try to backup in stop mode the VM says it is shutting down but the process stays forever.
Did I miss something?
Tnx in advance for any tip or hints about configuration.
