backup mail notification on error?

is there a standard-wise way to support this?
notifications of "successful backup" are definitely not needed - I'd like to get an email when some trouble arises.

vzdump sends always notification - just configure a rule on your mail server to filter emails which you do not want.

btw, if you use our Proxmox Mail Gateway you can easily configure such rules (e.g. you can define "what object", triggering on the subject, very powerful by using regular expressions).
