Backup forces VM suspension

For one of our vms with a 100GB disk on iSCSI SAN and a 500GB disk on another storage (NFS), it forces the VM into suspension before backup - any reason?

The old backup code does a short suspend when there is more than one disk (solved with new backup code in 2.3)

What version do you use exactly? And please can you also post the backup log?

The old backup code in 2.2 uses LVM snapshots. This does not work on NFS (no LVM), so it switches back to suspend mode.

But this is fixed in 2.3 - The new backup code can make snapshots on any storage technology.

you use an old version (before 2.3)? if you store a disk on NFS, you cannot make a LVM snapshot. but 2.3 solves this issue.
