Hi,

I have been running proxmox for over a year now, had some issues, but for 99.9% of the time it just works perfectly, so my deepest respect to the devs!

Anyhow, I currently have on Proxmox 6.2-4 some errors, or actually no error but a failing backup job which doesn't output any error.

My current setup:

A PVE node that runs the latest pve version.
12 HDD's (zfs)
1 boot drive (ssd)
1 nvme drive (vm storage)
1 external hdd for the backups.

The external drive is whereto I backup. This drive is automounted and is in my drives tab in the datacenter.

What proxmox throws me in my face is the following:

INFO: Backup finished at 2020-09-08 07:10:55 INFO: Backup job finished with errors TASK ERROR: job errors

No further information given.

this is the output of the package version:

So the question is, why is this failing? :p is it because there is an external drive or what?

Hi! Is this specific problem something that was working for you before version 6.2-4?
Is it just VMs that you're backing up and are there many?
Could you post the rest of your backup/vzdump output? I guess there could be some other interesting messages in there.

Hi!

Yes I have a lot of vms (there are more than 13), but as you suggested to put the full output here, I needed to strip it down, then it occured to me that there were in fact other errors... (whoops)

but the solution is this;
