Backup Email > only from one node?

Hi there

I have a two node cluster (I know it's not officially supported) and configured backups jobs and enabled the notifications. The backups are working perfectly, and the backup email is also sent out.

The problem: Looking to the backup email, the backup status is only containing the VMs from the primary node. There is no information about the secondary node, although the backup jobs running on both nodes.

As the backup schedule config is done on cluster level, i expect that the VMs from the secondary node also are reported.

Any ideas?

I'm running proxmox version 7.2-7

On a hunch - make sure that postfix (or some other MTA, if you're not using postfix) - is configured correctly on both nodes
meaning - I guess the issue with sending mail is related to the mailerdaemon config on both nodes and not with something in the PVE backup notifications

Every host only reports its own VMs, so you should get two emails - one from each PVE host, each listing only the backup jobs on one server.

I would check the postfix configuration of the second server.

You are right, i had a typo in the postfix main.cf config on the secondary node. Many thanks for your support!
