[SOLVED] Backup disk usage evolution per virtual machine.

Hello,
I have a Proxmox cluster and a PBS server for every day virtual machines backup.

I would like to know the disk usage for each virtual machine into the backup after each virtual machine backup. This will allow me to know the backup disk usage evolution per virtual machine, day by day.

Is it possible?
How can I get this information?

since the chunks are deduplicated per datastore and not per vm, that information is not really available.
at the end of the backup job, there is a short summary of the uploaded chunks though e.g.,

INFO: backup is sparse: 23.17 GiB (70%) total zero data
INFO: backup was done incrementally, reused 32.09 GiB (97%)

so here you can see that only 3% was uploaded
(in this case it was 33GiB => 3% = 0.99GiB)

of course this also may not be correct, since the server may already have those chunks and did not need any additional space
best is to monitor the datastore usage and calclulate with that
