Backup 1 per month

Hello,

does someone knows how i can create an backup of my kvm only once per month?
The GUI gives me only the possibility to do daily or 1 time a week?

Do i have to use the cron-job of my host-system?

Hey,

what version of PVE are you running? You can set a custom schedule for backups as described in [1], a few predefined examples are selectable.

I am running the newest version. In the docs I can't find a solution to create a code to run a backup the first of every month.
Docs say systemd event format is used, but I found the code for monthly (*-*-01 00:00:00) but Proxmox tell me "Parameter verification failed. (400)".

"schedule: invalid format - invalid calendar event '*-*-01 00:00:00' - date specification not implemented at /usr/share/perl5/PVE/CalendarEvent.pm line 126."

Could you post the output of pveversion -v?

Also, for monthly you could just select that from the dropdown or enter monthly manually.

You actually have to apt update && apt upgrade, support for it was added just recently [1].
