Hello,

Anyone knows the function of Backscatter Score in Mail Gateway 6.2-6 (Configuration->Spam Detector->Options)
By default it is on 0. What would happen if you set it to 3 or higher?

There is nothing specific about this in the manual. Thanks for your help.

It gives a score to "backscattered" mail. For example someone is faking you as sender or return, all the undeliverable mail will end up in your mailbox. To give it a score to catch this in the spam from PMG, you use a score for backscatter.

Does anyone know how is this score shown in the logs?
For Heuristic Score I see in the logs ClamAVHeuristics(1), virus detected: Heuristics.Phishing.Email.SpoofedDomain (clamav)
Is there a similar description for Backscatter Score so I can find some messages that are using my changed score for Backscatter.
Thanks.

EDIT: I think I have found my own answer it's ANY_BOUNCE_MESSAGE(29)
I also see that spamassassin will assign a score BOUNCE_MESSAGE(0.1)
