Backing up to separate tapes (in a library)

Hi,

I have a tape library and I would like to use different tapes for individual VMs running on my PVE host.

Do I understand correctly that I need to create separate stores for the VMs because PBS will backup only an entire store to a tape (as opposed to individual VM backups in a store)?

no, in current versions you have multiple choices to achieve this:

* create a namespace per media-set
* use the group-filters on the backup-jobs -> there you can filter by your group (e.g. vm/100) and only backup that
