Back up Client error at /mnt/pve EACCES: Permission denied (SMB)

I have just successfully upgraded my cluster nodes to pve 8.

My proxmox-backup-client was working fine on all nodes on 7.4. with a smb drive mounted.

Now I am getting this error on every node:

I have tried unmounted the smb and running it again but the same error is still there even with that smb drive removed.

But the odd thing is that on my testing pc with proxmox stand alone - when I upgraded that to 8 the client back up works fine to the same mounted drive.

Something is off with the nodes on the cluster.

I can access the dump folder and all back up files on the 'mnt/pve/proxmox_backups_Edrive_Rzyen'.

Can anyone assist please?

Solved by excluslively excluding this mnt!
