Automated cluster deployment synchronized configs.

Hi Everybody.
New to Proxmox and still learning before I deploy it to replace vSphere cluster.
I've been creating bash scripts with the pve(xx) commands so that I can run them post install, more to ensure settings are correct across all nodes, rather than for automation purposes. I can't seem to find any commands for the Datacenter >> Options settings.
The only option I can see is editing the /etc/pve/datacenter.cfg with sed.
Is there a better way?

Can I set up a Datacenter in a virtual lab and then copy the datacenter.cfg out and copy it onto the new hosts?

Any help would be appreciated.

/etc/pve/* are not actually files and (cluster and node) configuration is taken care of by Proxmox: https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#chapter_pmxcfs
Or maybe I'm completely misunderstanding what you are trying to achieve?

the "/cluster/options" API endpoint handles datacenter.cfg. you can GET and PUT to query or update the options:

either using an API client, or with "pvesh"
