So I have been playing around with Proxmox VE 7.2-7 and got my hands on a P40 tesla card. It works great to give my younger kids gaming machines without spending $8k, but I split it into (4) 6gig cards and have 2 vGPU's still available. The window machines see it as a Quadro P6000.
So I figured I'd pass though one of them to a TrueNAS Scale machine so I can set up a backup Plex Machine that will use the vGPU for video Transcoding like my main unit does. My main unit is also Proxmox VE 7.2-7 but I am passing though a Quadro P4000 directly to TrueNas Scale to do the transcoding for the Plex app. So far that is working great.
I noticed when I try to passthrough the vGPU TrueNas Scale is trying to load the NVidia drivers 470.103.01 and it fails to show the GPU in scale. To get the vGPU to work correctly in Windows I loaded Nvidia Driver 510.73.06 into proxmox.
Did I miss something because Scale is based off Debian?
