Hi

I installed Proxmox VE 1.5 on a Asus P5QC mainbord PC. Every thing of the installation worked as expected. Just there is no lan driver included, that supports my board.

Asus ships the sources for the driver, a Linux* Base Driver for the Atheros(R) AR8121/AR8113 PCI-E Ethernet Adapter. (Ubuntu 9.10 recognizes the network card automatically.)

Unfortunately in the VE is no compiler/make around..

I'd like to receive some advice how-to proceed. What is the best way to get Proxmox VE running?

Thanks!

sorry, but thats not an answer to the problem. how can i install the driver from cd?
Why not?
Supported network-card -> internet connection -> gcc,make... -> compiling the nessesary driver (if the driver is usable for the selected kernel).

After that you can unplug the network-card... but i'm not sure if you be happy with the ATL-card (i have try to use such an onboard-card for drbd and hasn't good experience with it).
