Hello,
I'm not much experienced with RAID configuration, however I've bought a Asus P8H67 motherboard which has built-in raid ability,
While I'm using it's wizard to create striped volume and then install the Proxmox on it, strangely Proxmox detect two HDDs instead of a raid volume.

Do you think I'm configuring it in a wrong way? Did you guys ever face a situation like that?

Any advise will be much appreciated.

The reason is basically because your motherboard only has "fake raid". Just search for that term and learn more about it.

I don't think so, because it's a branded mainboard and also the Windows Server 2008 only detects one striped volume.

Did you even read about "fake raid" as suggested? Please feel free to use your favorite search engine ...

Thank you, but please, let one of proxmox staff answer this question.

Follow the hint and use the search function.

Your motherboard has raid ability, but it's soft raid. Windows Server 2008 work with soft/hard raid.

But proxmox, need hard raid controller and there are no motherboard with hard controller (i speak about soho motherboard).

If you want raid with proxmox, you need a hard raid controller like adaptec or other.
