Hello!

We have a single ip for the proxmox server that is bound to vmbr0 like

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
iface eth0 inet manual

auto vmbr0
iface vmbr0 inet static
address 172.168.10.2
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 172.168.10.1
bridge_ports eth0
bridge_stp off
bridge_fd 0

Addionally we have an IP Range like

address 172.165.10.82-172.165.10.94
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 172.165.10.1

How do I have to configure this second network so that it will be autmatically assigned to a new vm via dhcp?
Does Proxmox support this through dhcp?

Thank You for help!

We do not assign IP addresses automatically. But sure, you can setup your own DHCP server somewhere.

IP assignment is usually a function of the guest OS not the host.

Kinda curious why you'd need/want to..
But I'd setup dhcpd in one of the guest. Not the host.
