hi,

1. you have mixed buster repositories along with bullseye. first disable the "bullseye" repositories by commenting them, then do upgrades apt update && apt dist-upgrade
2. reboot your machine (needed for kernel upgrades, looks like you've done some already so you should really reboot)
3. then follow [0]

hope this helps

Trying 212.224.123.70...
meanwhile from my laptop I can connect to that ip

I am really misunderstand why I can't access it from shell of prox-node.
I haven't has output rules on iptables, only INPUT chains

Code:
root@prox ~ # iptables -S
-P INPUT ACCEPT
-P FORWARD ACCEPT
-P OUTPUT ACCEPT

FYI prox-node on Hetzner

could you try running:
Code:

also what do you get from curl -v http://download.proxmox.com?

thanks.
as a sanity check could you flush the iptables rules and try if it works?

For me helped INPUT rule:
Code:
iptables -I INPUT -p tcp -s 212.224.123.70 -j ACCEPT

Code:
root@prox ~ # ping download.proxmox.com
PING de.cdn.proxmox.com (212.224.123.70) 56(84) bytes of data
-A appends. This adds the rule in the end of the rules list, so incoming connection could be dropped by a rule higher in the list.
To make sure that all connections from or to an IP address are accepted, change -A to -I which inserts the rule at the top of the list:
iptables -I INPUT -p tcp -s XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX -j ACCEPT
iptables -I OUTPUT -p tcp -d XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX -j ACCEPT`
https://serverfault.com/questions/163111/allow-traffic-to-from-specific-ip-with-iptables
So now:
Code:
root@prox ~ # apt update
Hit:1 http://download.proxmox.com/debian/pve buster InRelease
