the image appears to be an LVM volume. lvscan does not recognize it when I `rbd -p poolname map imagename` to attach it to the system. does anyone know how I can proceed from here?
no, clean the volume so that it can actually boot. currently you click "start" on this VM and after brief flash of the "Proxmox" BIOS you get a blank black screen.
If Ceph is healthy, the image in your cluster is in a consistent, yet obviously corrupted, state.
You can mount a live system and try to solve the issue inside the guest or you can replace the disk with a backuped one.
