Anyway to make corosync less sensitive to latency when not using HA?

I have a PVE cluster simply to have one UI to see my nodes but treat each node as their own. I do not use HA so the only thing really going on is just syncing of the VMIDs and configs.

My network sometimes has a latency spike which causes the corosync to go out of whack until i kill and restart the corosync service on each node.

Anyway way to make the timeout or whatever counter the latency spikes?

Hi @akballow . It is software, anything is possible. However, it is neither officially supported, nor encouraged on your own.

You now have an option to achieve your goal without involving complex technologies that are meant to solve a different use-case:

Hia i already use this but the main issue i have is the VMID tracking and the configuration of network/storage.
The datacenter manager does not accomplish the mentioned therefore i am asking about tuning the troubled corosync service!

Understood, as it is still in Alpha, your input on missing features might be helpful for the developers.

Cheers

@akballow Do you have additional NICs? It's recommended to put corosync on its own network for this reason, but in any case it can have multiple links/networks configured, for backup purposes.

I am going to add second networking like suggested. in a few weeks when i visit the hardware. Hopefully something i can tune in corosync.conf until then
