Hello, I built a new PC and trying to install proxmox VE 6.4-1 on it. I get multiple errors:

1. modprobe kvm_amd: operation not supported: i thought ryzen 5950x + asus rog strix x570e was supported. atleast i saw a few people who had built this combination discuss in the forums, so i assumed this is a supported combination. maybe i need to turn on something in the bios?

2. zotac nvidia rtx 2060 is my gpu. i get an error when building /dev that nvidia driver had some problem - i didnt note it down. will do that and send it out.

3. the screen went nuts after printing the two errors - lots of control characters and then it stopped responding.

4. I booted in proxmox-ve debug mode, but i couldnt use my usb keyboard to type anything in the shell.

i assume something in my combination of parts is conflicting with proxmox ve install. please help identify what i am doing wrong here.

These are the parts:
CPUAMD r9 5950X
MotherboardAsus ROG Strix X570-E gaming
Memory 2*Trident Z RGB 32 GB kit
GPUZotac gaming Geforce RTX 2060
storageCorsair Force MP600

Thanks!

i was able to fix the modprobe kvm_amd error by enabling SVM in the BIOS.

But the nvidia driver error still shows. I see that is a problem for a lot of people but last year. I thought it would be fixed by now.

One option seems to be to install debian and then proxmox as a package. I will try that.
