$2 is pci in a function call like RebindTo "0000:0e:00.0" pci amdgpu but when not inside a function declaration, $2 is the second parameter of the script. See also the link below.

Thank you for pointing me in the write direction. Those links helped me understand what was going on in your script. I have it installed and the proper drivers are grabbing and releasing my GPU with VM start-up/shutdown. I'm working on it remotely so I can't confirm if Proxmox has local video output when my VM is shutdown, but I suspect it will work flawlessly. FWIW, I'm using an RX-6400 low profile and I have had no issues with the reset bug and as such have not needed to use any workarounds for it.
