Thanks again for all your help. Still somewhat new to proxmox and always learning.
Before I took out the amd gpu, from the console I took a picture of the current /etc/network/interfaces as well as the current IP addr.
Swapped out the gpu, booted up the updated the respective numbers in the /etc/network/interfaces. Rebooted and no issues and nothing broken!
