Amd 64 x2 4400 kvm

Hi Everyone,

Sorry to bring this up as it is probably an age old question, but does the amd64 x2 4400 support kvm in proxmox?

As it is saying that it doesnt on the config page.

If so can anyone give me some pointers on how to get it working? Please.

This processor don't have hw-virtualisation. You need an "Athlon II X2" the "Athlon X2" are to old.
BTW: your bios must support virtualisation too.

Hi,
if you also update your motherboard, try to get one which supports ecc-ram (amd-cpus can handle ecc-ram). So you get for not so much money a stable system.
