Alternative Mirrors in Asia

Hi,

I wanted to check whether there is a mirror closer to the Maldives than the Singapore mirror currently being used.

All the CNAMEs appear to resolve to the Singapore CDN:

We are experiencing slow download speeds when retrieving packages and updates. Could you please advise if there are any alternative mirrors or CDN endpoints closer to our location, or recommend any steps we can take to improve download performance?

With a little bit of playing you can probably find out by yourself if there is a better one (and use it in your apt sources or test via /etc/hosts).

dig +noall +answer +subnet=8.8.8.0/24 download.cdn.proxmox.com @$(dig +short NS cdn.proxmox.com | head -1)

Replace 8.8.8.0/24 with a subnet in regions you believe to be closer around you (regions with good internet connections to your location).

You can also try these directly:

sg2.cdn.proxmox.com
sg3.cdn.proxmox.com
sg.cdn.proxmox.com
at1.cdn.proxmox.com
au.cdn.proxmox.com
na.cdn.proxmox.com
fr.cdn.proxmox.com
de.cdn.proxmox.com

The SG ones seem to be at different hosters, so maybe worth trying these first.
