Allready asked but i can not find a solution to snapshot my server2019 VM

Hello all,
I have already installed my VM in a number of ways, but I keep running into the problem that I cannot take a snapshot.
The server is installed with the page https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Windows_2019_guest_best_practices with inserting the virtio drivers
the virtio-win-0.1.240.iso is used.

My Proxmox
Version 7.3-3 ( When iám ready ill go to 8)
The VM is on the DISK-3TB Type is LVM 2,5TB fee space

The VM is on the DISK-3TB Type is LVM 2,5TB fee space

If it's not on thin-LVM, you will not be able to take a snapshot von thick-LVM. Snapshots don't need guest os support and you cannot do anything in you guest to be able to snapshot the VM from the ouside besides having snapshot backend storage support.

Change to thin-LVM or format the disk and use QCOW2 and you'll be able to snapshot as you like.

LnxBil, That solved my problem. Added extra disk setup as thin-LVM. Shutdown my VM's and start moving.
All VM's 800 GB take some time, but it was busy in my sleep.
