Allow a CT to access my server's monitor/screen?

I'm running a small virtual datacenter on one single machine. The machine is hooked up via HDMI to a television.

I'm trying to allow an Ubuntu CT running XBMC to use the machine screen/monitor. Is this possible? Ideally, I'd want to have a monitor and sound passthrough from the bare-metal (proxmox) to the virtual media server.

Seems like that would work. Do you know if I can get sound using this method too? My speakers are plugged into the motherboard directly.

No idea. I use my servers as servers. Not as desktops or htpcs.

My servers don't even have sound cards. When you start combining and mixing functionality, you lose stability. I treat my home lab like a corporate environment.
