[SOLVED] After enabling firewall in datacenter, i lost access to my server

hi, i tried to made same as in this this tutorial https://dannyda.com/2024/04/02/how-...ip-address-from-dhcp-dnsmasq-pve-dhcp-pve-ip/
but after enabling firewall on step 2: Check the Datacenter firewall status by Navigate to [B]Datacenter[/B] -> [B]Firewall[/B] -> [B]Options[/B]. See if the [B]Firewall[/B] has [B]Yes[/B] besides it
i lost access to my server, server are not reachable anymore on 8006 after enabling firewall, what i do wrong?

Per https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#_configuration_files

“If you enable the firewall, traffic to all hosts is blocked by default. Only exceptions is WebGUI(8006) and ssh(22) from your local network”

Do you have a management network to try?

If you don't add any rules to the firewall, yes, that's normal and highly expected. Why? Because the firewall is doing what it's supposed to do. Before enabling the firewall, you need to make sure that you're not blocking your access to the machine. From the server's perspective, you're the person from the outside who needs to be blocked.

What you can do now is to start the server in rescue mode. Go into chroot, manually add the entries to iptables. Restart the server, add those entries to pve-firewall and remove the manual entries.
