Hello ProxMox Forum
i'm not really new on this, but it's the first time i write

I've a cluster with this assets :
  • 3 x Hp proliant DL 380 G7 with :
    • 2 x146 Gb SAS raid1 for OS
    • 4x1TB Sata + 1x240GB SSD in zfs +cache and log
    • 63Gb
  • NAS WD Nasware 4.0
    • 4x2TB SATA (raid 5)
    • Direct attached to dedicate cluster network
  • NAS WD Nasware 4.0
    • 4x2TB SATA (raid 5)
    • Remote location for Disaster recovery
Everything is working fine specially replication
I've this questions :
  1. Backups speed, for me, are very slow- for Example : 02:09:04 to backup 154 Gb or 5 hours backup 333GB. How can have better performances
  2. We don't have HA. What is the best configuration using the material we have ?

Many Thanks
Alessio

We don't have HA. What is the best configuration using the material we have ?

If your NAS has no HA capabilities, you have your single point of failure in your current setup.

If you drastically change your harddisk setup, you could go with CEPH and have "real" HA, so that data is replicated synchronously across all nodes. It won't be fast, but you'll have HA.
