Hi I think this question has been answered somewhere else but I can’t find it so if somebody can post the link to the tutorial I would love it but the question is as simple as,I have a machine running proxmox pve it has a serial port on the motherboard and I would love to have a serial terminal to access the proxmox pve host it self as peace of mind in case of network error or other low lvl errors. So to iterate I am not interested in serial connection to the vm’s but the host it self

Check out any Linux guide on how to configure the kernel & bootloader to use the serial port as well.

For the kernel, it should be a cmdline parameter.

Also check if the BIOS can be configured to be available on the serial port. Then you can follow the whole boot sequence over it.
