Hi all,

I have installed VE 7.1 on my HPE DL360 Gen9 and added 6 ssd to it but I am unable to see those disks in the web GUI to create a local storage. I believe it is the hardware raid controller.

Code:
root@pve:~# lspci | grep RAID
03:00.0 RAID bus controller: Hewlett-Packard Company Smart Array Gen9 Controllers (rev 01)

and this is what I see in the dmsg logs

Code:
[ 10.253719] hpsa 0000:03:00.0: scsi 0:0:0:0: added RAID HP P440ar controller SSDSmartPathCap- En- Exp=1

How can I add these disks to my VE?

How can I add these disks to my VE?
If you want to use the HW-RAID controller - you need to configure the disks in the RAID-controllers interface (you can enter it while the system boots (IIRC by pressing F8)) as some kind of virtual disk (RAID1, ...)

then they should show up as SCSI disk in your system

I hope this helps!

You can install ssacli from HPE and then you can configure and Monitor your RAIDs in the running System.
