Adding and activating network interface

Hi,

i just want to add a new network interface to an existing VM. I added this interface via webinterface and restarted the VM.

My problem is that I can't see the newly added adapter with ifconfig. Is there anything left to do?

You need to configure the card first (inside the VM) to see it with ifconfig.

So i just have to edit my /etc/network/interfaces and add the interface. After that i can add it to the VM via interface?

nope you have to configure it inside your vm !
