Adding a PCI SATA controller

In my continuing quest to get my HDDs to spin-down, I have added a PCI SATA controller.

However, on boot I now get the following error. Once the card is removed Proxmox boots fine.

The system is an HP Elitedesk 800 G4.

I have read that it is necessary to ensure the new controller is in a separate IOMMU group for passthrough, but I can't even get that far to check!

Any ideas?

Hello,

Did you try to check something in kernel or syslog?

Disable every virtualization option in the UEFI and you might be able to boot. Or just reverse what you did for now and use Resource Mappings to avoid this.
