Hi, we have a node with vm´s and we would add his to our master (cluster).
but if we do it, we get the message:

Code:
this host already contains virtual machines - please remove the first

How can we add the node to the master (cluster) with the existing vm´s?
please help. very thanks.

Hi Dietmar,

It´s not so good. Do you have a solution, how we can transfer our vm´s without offline time of node 1 to node 2 to add this node in cluster?

This cannot be done without downtime. You can however, create identical VM's in the cluster and then replace the storage with the a copy of the storage of the current running VM's. This will minimize downtime to the time it takes to shutdown the current running VM's on the old node and restart the VM's on the cluster.

This is the way, what we must use. But, if we create a snapshot of a running vm, we get everytime exit codes, if files are changed in backup time. This is not the best way for migrating.

Do you have a better way to migrate (online) ?

Then this must mean that the VM's are having constant load. Your only option is a service window then.
