[SOLVED] Active directory to use UPN instead of samaccountname?

Hello,
i am not sure what field is used for user matching in the AD connector, i suppose it is samaccountname. Is there an option to change it to UPN somewhere?

hi,

yes it's samaccountname by default.

you can change the user_attr option in /etc/pve/domains.cfg (see wiki). note that this file doesn't exist unless you added a domain as custom authentication realm already. you can do that via the GUI and then edit the file as necessary.
