[SOLVED] Access to backups from all server

Hi,

currently, we evaluate Proxmox Backup Server. We have some dozen server that needs to have backups on a file level.

For that we use proxmox-backup-client.

We experience, that without a key all backups are accessible from all server which is bad.

So we started to use encryption. Then the server key is need to access the backup. So far, so good. The listing of all backups is still available for all server.

Are we misunderstanding something? Is this the security concept like it is ment?

What is the maximum security level (access) PBS offers?

The listing of all backups is still available for all server.

do you mean that you can list all backups on all clients? do you use the same user for those backups?

if you use different users/tokens for each client and give the appropriate permissions (see https://pbs.proxmox.com/docs/user-management.html#access-control)
the different users should only see their own backups (even when not encrypted)
