Under Linux no problem, ceph-common should be available in every distribution. Ceph FS can the just be nounted in fstab.If I have the choice, CephFS.
Depends on your configuration. If your Ceph Cluster Network is reachable, you can access the ceph storages. Check your ceph configuration and try to ping one of the mon hosts from the pc you want to mount the filesystem on. Iedeally the pc should have an ip in the same net. Proxmox does not do any special routing for the ceph cluster network.Sorry, if that is a dumb question but does the client from outside the Ceph cluster need to be on the network connecting the clustered Ceph nodes or is there some routing built into Proxmox that would allow the client to be (only) on the same net the pve hosts are on?
