Problem instalation VM with proxmox 8.1 vs 7.4
hi, I installed the latest version of proxmox 8.1 on an older Fujitsu server and, as many times, installed a VM with OS w7pro for tests.
Unfortunately, the VM reports errors:
It was slow when installing both proxmox and the VM.
When starting the VM with w7pro it reports an error:
"KVM virtualisation configured, but not available. Either disable in VM configuration or enable in BIOS."
I get around this by turning off KVM support in the VM settings options, but the system is unusable and very slow.

It didn't work for me and I installed the latest stable version of proxmox 7.4 and everything works without the slightest problem even with KVM turned on.

So apparently the problem is in both proxmox 8.0 and 8.1 (tested)

What could be the problem in versions 8.1 and 7.4 that they do not start the standard Windows OS VM and are then slow?
Apparently it's some change in HW communication and the new proxmox 8.x.

I note that I turned off/on HW virtualization, but I simply had to leave proxmox 8.1 on this machine for now.

Has anyone encountered this?

thanks everyone for the tips on what to check.
Now I have to test version 7.4.
