It has a PVE of 6.2 and is installed in a 500G solid-state disk. It has been stable for half a year. However, more virtual machines have been opened recently, resulting in insufficient disks. A new SAS 6T hard disk has been added. The new 6T hard disk can be seen in the background , But the category and usage recognition, can not be partitioned, and can not be loaded. Please give instructions.

PS: Hard disk detection is no problem.

Hi,

you have to disable the read protection bit.

This command will format (erase all data on this disk) and remove the protection bit.
Code:
sg_format /dev/sda --format
