A frivolous partition question

Hi Folks. Love proxmox. I use it as a test base for my servers, or for major joomla changes pre production, etc.
Thing is, Most of the time this nice little dual core I bought for proxmox is turned off and I would love to be able to use it for the odd game.

Is there any way I can partition so that proxmox takes up most of the hard drive, and I can have a regular os on the rest, say 20 gb out of 250 gb. Then I could dual boot into either proxmox when I need to test things, or the regular os when I want to team play online?

Cheers, Jonnyxx.

I guess what I'm really asking is,
If i partition the hard drive and leave most of it for proxmox, on the proxmox install will it ignore the separate partition, so I can install something on that and dual boot or will it still want to commandeer the entire hardrive?

cheers, Jonnyxx.

Thanks for taking the time Dietmar, I will have a read of that as a good start point. It has just occurred to me that the easiest way to do this would be to just install another hard drive in the machine and boot the other system of that. Which i guess is much preffered as the proxmox bare metal iso works so well. Cheers, jonnyxx
