Hi all -- trying to install Proxmox VE 9.1-1 on an AOOSTAR MACO 6850H and install boot stops on loading sda.

Background

The MACO 6850H has a Ryzen 6850H CPU and LPDDR5 RAM. I have made following changes to the install process:
  • Ensured Secure Boot is disabled in BIOS
  • Edited grub boot with modprobe.blacklist=fmpm (this bypasses a prior stall with the install)
I have 3 NVME drives installed.

Error Details

When I boot for install, boot messages stall after these lines:

Code:
sd 0:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg0 type 0
sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Media removed, stopped polling
sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Attached SCSI removable disk

Troubleshooting

When I got the boot stall, I verified all 3 via:
  • Removing each drive and, one by one, adding to an external mount,
  • Attaching them to a laptop running CachyOS,
  • Monitoring dmesg for that attach and following steps,
  • Verifying each with smartctl -H in an external mount on my laptop,
  • Using gparted to create a partition table and format as ext4,
  • After all three successfully completed the above, I re-installed in the Aoostar and got the same error, per "Error Details" and attached screenshot, when installing Proxmox.
Any ideas if this is, indeed, an issue with my drives, or something else?

Thanks in advance!
