so i have started proxmox for the first time and i have looked up all types of things to try to get this ssd to show up. i decided to throw proxmox on a hdd but i want to use this ssd. the ssd that i have does show up in bios and wont show in lsblk i have done all that and i can not get it to "connect" it was running win11 on a optiplex 3050 but like i said nothing has worked. i want to use the ssd for either storage or vms i would like some help if anyone got any ideas.

See if there's a RAID option/mode in the UEFI and set it to AHCI. Can you press CTRL+ALT+F3 in the installer (or use what you used for lsblk) and check lspci -k?

while looking into ispci -k i see that it says AHCI. i'm still looking into other ways right now one being a pcie adapter but if you have any ideas i will take anything.

Hmm. Looks normal. What does this look like?
Bash:
lsblk -o+FSTYPE,LABEL,MODEL
journalctl -rp warning
If nothing helps, try another cable/port.

i haven't touched anything but the download for proxmox so far which is on the hdd

What about the first command's output? Something wrong with that port it seems like. See the ata2 errors. The main disk seems unhealthy as well.

the ata2 error happens anywhere the ssd is plugged into also the hdd is old so i would like to get the ssd up and running to run proxmox off of that's kind of the goal and the sc is the first command. do you think if i use a pcie adapter it will work?(getting one tomorrow)
