Hello,
I have two 82571EB based (e1000e) network cards that do not work with proxmox.
The cards are recognized by kernel but light on the ports are off and if I put a cable they do not see it.
Before loading os the ports light are on (green and orange blinking)
If I boot with a centos livecd they work perfectly.
Searching on internet someone suggest to compile latest intel drivers. I have done it but I was suprised that I got no improvement.

Can you please help me?

Thanks,
Mario

Our kernel include latest e1000e driver from:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/e1000/files/e1000e stable/

> uname -a

Code:
Linux mits1 2.6.32-34-pve #1 SMP Sat Nov 8 09:38:26 CET 2014 x86_64 GNU/Linux

root@pmx:~# modinfo e1000e

filename: /lib/modules/2.6.32-34-pve/kernel/drivers/net/e1000e/e1000e.ko
version: 3.1.0.2-NAPI
license: GPL
description: Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Driver
author: Intel Corporation, <linux.nics@intel.com>

which driver did you compile?

which driver do you use on the centos live cd? I do not think these are latest.

do latest drivers works on a centos installation? if not, submit a bug report to the driver maintainer = Intel.
