Hi all

Would it make sense to have 4 ceph nodes with OSDs and a fifth with just 1 monitor? In all I'd have 6 Proxmox servers where 2 are just used for CPU and RAM (no space for OSDs) whereas one of these would be used to also install a monitor on. So I could have the 4/2 pool rule which makes it more secure and still have the monitor quorum if 2 nodes go down?

Thanks for your opinions!

An odd number of monitors is more robust, yes. You can setup one of the compute nodes just as a monitor, but without OSDs.
