4.4 OK 7.0 NO Go

So I have had a server up and running for about 3 years now running 4.4 with no issues so it was time to up date it because there are some new things I need that were not in 4.4 like importdisk so did the step by step to update to 5.4 and it failed tried it a 2nd time same thing. So all the VMs where backed upped so I was let go to 7 and get this error sys/firmware/efi/efivars wrong fs type. So tried 6.4 same error, then 5.4 same thing. Went back to reinstall 4.4 no issues worked fine. So why can i not install any thing after 4.4? Has any one found a work around for this error.

Server is
IBM x3550 M4
dual 10 core E5-2690 v2
512GBs Ram

Hi,

I would check if the BIOS is up-to-date.

You still can install PVE latest version by installing the Proxmox VE on top of Debian [0]
