Hi, I've done a fresh (test) install of 2.3 and then upgraded to 3.0 with the provided script (the 3.0rc1 iso was not availabe at that time).
I've dist-upgraded but still if I right click on a (stopped) vm, I've no "Convert to template" item, but just the usual ones (start...).
What am I doing wrong?
Code:
root@proxmox:~# pveversion -v

Also with
# aptitude -f install
apache2 has been installed... is it ok? I've only a MegaCli additional repo with lsi monitor utilities installed, don't know if it's the culprint (I dubt) or not

Thanks a lot

You need to remove apache2, as new pveproxy service do the job now,
"aptitude purge apache2"

Yep, just wondered why the script for the update left the system in this state.
In addition I think that they used apt-get install instead of aptitude, so aptitude purge apache2 left some other modules, so I then had to do:
# aptitude purge apache2-mpm-prefork apache2-utils apache2.2-bin apache2.2-common libapache2-mod-apreq2 libapache2-mod-perl2 libapache2-request-perl
and
# rm -r /etc/apache2
Thanks a lot (also for your work on Proxmox development, AFAIU... what about surface to the web the USB passthrough stuff? There is an open request in the tracker by someone else)

That did the trick, thanks a lot Tom, 3.0 looks so great, time to do some test ;P
