2 x 10Gbps switches for CEPH

Hi,

I would like to enhance CEPH uptime by adding another 10Gbps switch to the cluster. This means each node will have 2 cables connected to 1 10Gbps switch each. Is this something possible?

Please search for key word LAG or MLAG. Arista, IBM G8124 support this feature.

you need to do lacp with your 2 switches, that mean stackable swtiches or mlag switches.

Hi,

You may use a Mikrotik switch(any model can use lacp) .

Mikrotik is not design for CEPH using. Their software work for routing is good but for heavy load like CEPH is not.
