I know this is not the best practice but is just for a homelab. I'm not looking for HA really in the sense I want automatic migrations and such- just would like to have 2 nodes that can distribute the workload and I can migrate when I go to upgrade one node, then migrate back, upgrade the other, etc.

Is this going to be alright? Am I going to run into quorum issues? Should I do anything once the cluster is set? Can I separately add another "node" via VM or desktop to avoid split brain?

The 2 nodes will have access to the same NFS share from FreeNAS.

Hi,
yes it's working, but you can't change anything if one node is rebooting.

I have an home cluster with three nodes, where one node is down the most time (power consumption).

Work without trouble (but I start the third node for cluster upgrades... ).
