1 windows VM freezes randomly, the other works fine on proxmox VE 7

I have 2 windows 10 VMs running( both imported from esxi) in proxmox VE 7. 1 on an Intel S2600IP4 server. One VM has a AMD 7450 and a USB 3 card passthrough, Whilst the other VM has a Nvidia GT 710 and with the onboard USB 2 ports passthrough to it. Both are always on workstations.
The VM with the AMD 7450 and USB 3 card passthrough freezes randomly -usb freezes, screen freezes. and then it will come back on again. The other windows VM runs along simultaneously without hiccups ( the one with the nvidia passthrough)

I have tried adjusting the power options in the windows VM to not sleep at all, increased its ram, cpu - no impact on the random freezing. I have tried passing through a different USB 3 card, also no difference.

Running out of ideas for troubleshooting. Any help appreciated.

Thank you

This might help, I am not sure if its specific to your problems though.

Add the following to /etc/modprobe.d/kvm.conf

options kvm ignore_msrs=1 report_ignored_msrs=0

Then run update-initramfs -u -k all and reboot.

This is low confidence level though as I think the above is more for fixing BSOD's rather than interment freezes, but might be worth a try.

Thank you. I will try this asap

update- tried it. unfortunately, it did not help.

any suggestions welcomed.
