I'm really wondering why the Proxmox Installation Wizard doesn't offer an option for ZFS without any RAID(Z) setup.
Some benefits of ZFS rely heavily on RAID(Z), but many don't: Copy-on-write, integrity checksums, snapshot features, deduplication, native block-level encryption, etc...
I was wondering if I could get some suggestion for setting up temporary scratch space for non-critical data.
Best balanced I/O performance (typical file size ranges 50k ~ 1MB each) is the priority.
VMs (volblocksize = 16k) are all on ZFS-mirrored enterprise U.2 SSD.

Does it make sense to have mirrored disks AND do storage replication on top of it.
Hi, I have an HP Proliant DL120 GEN 9 server and I made a RAID 0 of two 4TB SATA Disks and I want to virtualize with PROXMOX.
But at the time of wanting to install PROXMOX I do not recognize the RAID made from the BIOS.
It has a Smart Array B140i, I did not find any information on the HP...
